We’re going to be upset? Hmm… are you telling us that just like the Dude’s fans, we’ll miss the chance to see him fight? I’m not sure I will be upset over that though, more interesting to see these two meet up with Kat.

That sounds like you haven’t been around for at least 4.5 years, when he first teased at what his Special is. 😉

I’m betting this is gonna become a running gag. We will never see what The Dude is capable of, it will only be alluded to that he is a bad*ss 😛

Honestly, didn’t track that he was doing it for a joke.

But I just realized the statement where Bandit says “More fun, I think.” is doubled up with “It took me a while to figure him out, too.” – the implication that even after all this time, he doesn’t*entirely* understand it.

Nah. We won’t get to see it. Not this time, anyway. The plot is moving towards Danni and Bandit rejoining Kat, with Dude being awesome offscreen. The biggest questions I see are:
a) whether or not Snowman will be able to “melt” Dude (we’ll find out in the aftermath, not onscreen),
b) how much longer Kat is controlled by the AI (much more likely we’ll see this transition onscreen).

Nimz, you forgot the all-important question C: Where is Jane?

Oh g-d, where is the crazy one? Wait, wasn’t she watching the PKers earlier? o.O

But I know where Jane is. She’s nearby, but smart enough not to be near Dude when his special goes off.

… Okay, so maybe I know where she *isn’t*.

If Snowman is separated from his group, Jane could be making plans with him. Their motives do not seem very dissimilar at this point…

Yup, we’ll never see his special, the ha! special or what snowman can do. So many Checkhov’s guns just lying around.

I agree that the plot will probably move away from Dude first, but who knows for how long?
a) Snowman is too slow, so he’ll join the battle later if at all. I bet that in a 1v1 Snowman would lose, too.
b) Somehow I don’t think that the A.I. is going to become Kat any time soon. Keiko dropped the ball, shut herself in and now the supporting cast will carry the show in the foreseeable future.

I wonder if that is part of the appeal for the audience. They know he can throw down and fight and win, but he’s always running around like the world is too much.

Meanwhile his fans are stuck in a hopeless situation where the world is too much and they are afraid. But I bet they have their own power fantasies about how they’ll suddenly switch from being the coward to being in control of the situation, just like when they watch the Dude.

It’ll be funny if Kat just wanted to help everyone and it turns out the AI plans to play nice. lol

Really curious how this excessive violence works with the dude. Does it require him to be beaten to a pulp? Does it trigger like his lucky scream running… like a scared attack? Does he go creepy, batsh insane tearing at his enemies in a kind of adrenaline pumped attack similar to a creature backed into a corner? 😀

This will be so much fun! …whether we actually see anything or not! LOL

….but Dude just shot up in my opinion. That’s hilarious! (And dude, totally keeping up an act (that’s probably not that much of an act sometimes) entirely for the sake of a long-running joke? =D)
