Okay, so Aza’s group was defeated by this group while they were busy fighting amongst themselves. So if Snowman’s group faces only two of them while they don’t fight each other and with Bandit being slow and close to death, is that easier or harder? And if Jane shows up, whose side will she be on?

Also, will Bandit still be slow after dying and respawning? I assume no.

Furthermore: Even though I expected that now the Dude’s Special could come in handy, because overkill for an almost-dead Bandit can happen too easily (and because of Bandit’s explosive attacks), I thought about it again and I believe that Snowman’s group must have watched the preliminaries, so they know exactly what they’re facing.

I call that Frosty will have a spell to reduce someone’s speed, because the Dude is so fast. And because I can call him Slowman then. 🙂

Where’s the big guy?

AmbiguousMouse on 02/18/2020 @ 2:49 pm

They aren’t using Whisper chat, so I’m guessing that what they’re saying right now is to weave a narrative for the Game watching audience, and they probably aren’t actually organizing some big trick against TENka.

Meerling on 02/18/2020 @ 3:44 pm

Maybe, or maybe it is a whisper and just wasn’t drawn that way because of a small oversight.

Then again, they may think they aren’t “on camera” and can’t be recorded. Otherwise killing anyone “in secret” wouldn’t be a secret if there were available recordings of you plotting the deed when you’re effectively in the next room just before the black out happens. Not to mention they’re admitting to being party to a hacking of Tenka resources, aka The Game.

I don’t know which, but I’ll go with minor art error since it makes a lot more sense.

Besides, the whisper boxes are differentiated by their colors for us readers. We’d need a whole new set of colors for others when we’re whispering, and that would overload both the palette, and our ability to identify who is saying what.

Meerling on 02/18/2020 @ 3:45 pm

Sorry for the obvious errors, but once I hit post and can’t fix them. 🙁

For Kat/Bandit/Jane’s group, the group’s own team (in their case, Sandra and Paddy) decides what camera angles go on their public channel. Maybe Snowman’s team’s manager is in on it, and the channel is just showing the big guy right now.

Okay… I have no idea at all what they would get from double deading Dude’n Dude’s dude. Tenka wants them there to prod turbodeath the T.P.K. with a stick of annoyance. Which is both a dubious plan and so super-secret that it should actually be secret. Getting Team Tenka off of their lawn seems a bit pointless, given that Tenka now knows that their lawn exists. Is Slowman seeking a bounty? … but revealing that they knnow how to get here will put them on TenKa’s naughty list, which would be very not worth it…

Drgnhawk on 02/21/2020 @ 4:46 pm

Maybe they’re connected with the same “resistance” or whatever it is that Jane is. In that case, they could be here to get “team Tenka” off of *Jane’s lawn* so she can get on with “killing the game” without Bandit looking over her shoulder all the time.

So, are Bandit and the Dude hiding? Because if anyone was watching Dude’s game feeds, they’d know right away where they were. Doesn’t Snowman group have a manager? Isn’t it the job of the manager to keep an eye out on some of the other live feeds for obvious interactions? Or is this Snowman group a total newb loser group.

Meerling on 02/19/2020 @ 5:26 pm

David brought up a valid point, watching someone elses feed to get advantage over them in competitive games like that isn’t new.
These days it’s often called “stream sniping”. It’s not allowed in any tournaments that I know of, but it still happens.
Stream Sniping is one of the reasons that lots of feeds for competitive games undergo a delay before broadcasting long enough to make any info a stream sniper might get too old to be useful.

We’ve seen mr. Snowman a bit more recently than page 8, right? http://navcomic.com/not-a-villain/page-90/
