…This doesn’t seem like an AI. This seems like Kat has gotten V in to play her character, and is still playing that way.

Also, waiting for the Kat level trick to arrive…

VoxelLibrary on 09/24/2019 @ 9:42 pm

They mentioned earlier that AI assigned to the group was really good.

Sonny on 09/25/2019 @ 12:35 pm

Well, V is a really “good” AI, so that may still be right.

ChunLing on 09/28/2019 @ 11:37 am

Who is “V”?

AeonsShadow on 10/02/2019 @ 8:40 am

V is Kats personal AI if i remember correctly. The dragon looking one.

ChunLing on 10/05/2019 @ 12:00 pm

Oh. We’ve all been calling him D.

Cause that’s what K-ko calls him.

Nikary Flare on 09/24/2019 @ 3:00 am

Oh darn. Gravity.

Adoni-Zedek on 09/24/2019 @ 7:20 am

Panels 2 & 3 actually made me misremember that we had half-gravity instead of double.

Bandit’s mostly behind Jane, right? Maybe he can catch her as she falls backward.

I can understand Jane attacking, though. She already hates the game for taking valuable resources from outsiders, but now it is literally replacing an outsider with an AI.

Thanks, Aneeka!

Darkening on 09/24/2019 @ 8:16 am

Yeah, that’s a pretty impressive maneuver in normal gravity, let alone double. Guess Kat’s been hitting the gym lol.

Liliet on 09/24/2019 @ 11:37 am

well this doesn’t seem like Erbana 😡

Joel on 09/24/2019 @ 12:31 pm

Hence Bandit trying to keep Jane alive with Whispered advice.

Pebkio on 09/24/2019 @ 10:27 pm

Remember: If you give up, you lose automatically. In very short order Kat’s about to lose the rest of her character. Jane can dodge left all she wants but I do not doubt that this will be a fight to the death, now.

GLJordan on 09/25/2019 @ 9:51 pm

going by panel three, I think it is safe to say the Kat is in the house

Rebecca on 09/26/2019 @ 12:02 pm

In regards to the alt-text: whenever you draw Danni in dancing poses, I can see and feel the movement in them. I think you did a good job here as well, with Kat pushing herself into a kick at Jane. So, as difficult as it may be, you’re doing well, and your efforts are appreciated.

Iron Ed on 09/26/2019 @ 8:23 pm

I agree; and Rebecca expressed it very well!

Turrosh Mak on 09/26/2019 @ 1:21 pm

Why would Jane’s missed swing hurt her, as Bandit’s text would indicate?

Thrawcheld on 09/27/2019 @ 8:34 pm

I think he’s referring to the sand in her eyes.

Alexander The 1st on 09/27/2019 @ 10:03 pm

Could also be minor Sand type damage.

Maybe minor in the overall sense, but as I recall, Jane was an HP tank in the trials – given her Special, she might’ve min-maxed that for HP and Damage Per Hit.

She has enough speed to out move Bandit when he’s debuffed due to overnight watch tiredness penalties, and enough accuracy that she doesn’t comically miss things most times, so…I’m guessing Dfense and Special Defense are her dump stats.

Kat herself probably doesn’t have much in Strength (Her Trial character fell below the Special Strength check of the Twin CPUs,, but a Mud Slap attack would still have some damage potential in a pinch, since it’s a projectile.

It may not be much, but possibly enough to trip Jane over the Fall Damage x2 HP safe zone.

~~~
Now I actually want to look over the Game Trials and the initial Deathmatch training areas to see if we can try to piece together everyone’s stats, if at least in relative, if nothing else.
Chronos on 09/27/2019 @ 9:03 am
Huh. Wouldn’t have bet Kat’s strength stat was high enough to attack effectively like that.
Alexander The 1st on 09/27/2019 @ 10:05 pm
I’m guessing Sand Projectiles and Fall Damage are fixed amounts of damage (Well, for Fall Damage, variable fixed amounts of damage.), and don’t need much strength to work.
The disadvantage being you need Sand or Somewhere To Fall for a character to take advantage of them.
