I didn’t see the text and I perfectly got what was happening, so you’re ok!

friendlymosquito on 01/26/2018 @ 6:02 pm

Same 😀

Technical Note: The “Next” button from the previous page (sketch of Danni looking sad/angry/determined) doesn’t send you here.

Thanks for the comic!

This happens regularly when a new page is uploaded. It seems to be a caching issue — explicitly reloading the page “fixes” it.

No problem with using written representations of actions.

So why is Danni stressing? I’m guessing that she’s visiting Kleya, but they seemed to be doing fairly well last time I saw. Kleya even let her hold some sand! (lol)

dralou on 01/23/2018 @ 2:37 pm

I think she’s about to check up on the team’s (and even more importantly, her own) popularity rating. After all, if they still fail to entertain people, and if it’s apparent that she’s their most prominent “dead weight”, they, or only her, could be replaced. Which would signify her actual death.

SiliconWolf on 01/23/2018 @ 4:46 pm

She could be about to log off.

Alexander The 1st on 01/23/2018 @ 6:30 pm

That was my guess to – a bit awkward to wait for the next day, but it’s what I understood as the reason Danni stressing out.

Perhaps the logout coincides with the finding of people thing?

dralou on 01/24/2018 @ 11:37 pm

It’d make total sense. If people cheer for her rather than shout at her in the public areas, it would be a fairly good indicator of how the audience’s opinion has been improved.

On the other hand, I really hope that there IS somebody. Nobody would mean that they just don’t care anymore, which is even worse than dislike, I think… You could still watch a team you really really don’t like, if it’s made clear that they’re going to suffer. If you don’t care, you won’t watch, whatever happens.

while I agree on the login out guess, don’t forget that Dani and Mina usually are the ones who have to bring Kleya news due to her tendency to not check her email.

SiliconWolf on 01/23/2018 @ 4:40 pm

EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
You made us a desktop background!!!!!
TY!!!!!!!!!!!

They are backwards I think, the air flow on the right looks like its going in while the airflow on the left looks like its being pushed out, is the issue i feel

Manga has long set the precedent of using worded explanations of both actions and emotions. Time-honored method. At least your inhales and exhales are artistically drawn instead of huge, bold black lettering! ;D

Somebody Someone on 01/24/2018 @ 4:25 pm

It’s perfectly fine having textual representation of subtle things, also we can interpret those inhale/exhale words as _sound effects_ too. There are comics who make sports of creating ridiculous soundeffects / comments of the style, so don’t mind it much.

If you only wanted to express it just by drawing, the easy way maybe would have been at least “zooming out” to show the torso. We could have seen the inflating / deflating ribcage (along with the posture change)

The comic is awesome!

Gilly on 01/24/2018 @ 11:09 pm

I hope we did not miss her reaction to being paid, and then again of Kleya repaying w 200% interest.

Snoots on 01/25/2018 @ 7:03 am

A note just came in from the Batman:

“BAM! POW! KABLAM!”

Yes, word-adjectives are definitely a time-honored comic method. The 60s would have been totally dead without ’em. In truth they do something similar even in movies to this day: Star Wars… Tie Fighter zooming through space. Brrrrooooaaaarrrr…. pew! pew! pew! IN SOUNDLESS VACUUM.

Gotta have the effects, or it just don’t work.
