Wait a minute! He ran straight for the Portal, but he claimed that he didn’t know if he could to find it again? Was that merely part of fool mode or did he actually know that the portal had special conditions and he didn’t know if he could fulfill them again?

Bandit said that his flee mode boosts his luck. And did he get to keep the luck card from the tutorial? If so, those items of luck may have pointed him to flee in the direction of the portal.

I took it to mean that, in Flee Mode, he ran off in a random direction and wasn’t paying attention to anything other than getting away from danger. By activating Flee Mode again, it was statistically unlikely that he’d run off in the same direction, especially if the direction is chosen randomly every time.

Plot twist: the second time, he found a *different* portal.

Hmm…. that is actually pretty plausible. Given those conditions its likely that the portal would actively spawn in the path of any player filling the criteria. Programming-wise that wouldn’t be any harder then making the portal in the first place.

It also apparently stays open long enough to get his entire party through too.

He was coming from a different direction the second time.

Nice proportions in that first panel. And this might sound weird, but I like the way her arms looks in the third panel…

There have been a few hints as to what Dude is capable of. The most tantalizing is that his Special is claimed to require “extreme bloodshed.”

“Excessive violence” was the term. That might refer to any amount of overkill damage, possibly even before the damage is actually dealt.

/me blushes… could someone fill me in as to who Kim is. I forgets. And why is she upset Dude found the portal, or that it exists. I got losted somewhere. (Why do I get the embarrassing feeling Kim is the main character?) Other questions still remain though. 😀

Thanks for searching that, Fated. I really appreciated it. I had forgotten too that the suits were considering hiring Kat to stop the virus because of her innovative techniques. Was a good review. Makes me think maybe I should go back and re-read the entire series to date and pick up on whatever I’ve missed!
