I can’t speak for anyone else, but I found the text and whispers easy to follow.

I love Danni’s “If I close my eyes, when I open them again, things will make sense!” expression.

I can hardly wait to see Bandit’s expression as he figures out that Keiko set D to protect Danni. “Wha… Why did she… What is she trying… I have no idea what I’m doing.”

Eh, I’ve been doing a ton of archive binges lately. Pick a random comic and start reading from there. With the ads turned on. It helps Aneeka, and also helps me pick up on all sorts of things.

It’s kinda hard to read the early comics, when Kleya’s still trying to figure out being a hero. But she apologizes for her lies and mistakes and does what she can to fix them. It’s great to see her growth! And now if only she could see how carefully everyone is taking care (or trying to, anyway) of her ‘helpless little’ erbana AI-run character. BD

No, Danni, a Daemon is not a Demon. A Daemon is “not a villain” (well, not necessarily at least, what with them being part human and part god). Or are we talking about a Daemon that’s basically a background process in Linux? Like a watchdog process or something?

She wasn’t talkative before, like, at all.
So maybe she kept quiet because of the other group members.. stay hidden, stay safe?

Site research:
I sympathize. I did a little cursory digging around, and the few things that came up didn’t seem all that promising.
A couple webcomic-plugins for Hugo, but knowing the reliability of the maintainer would require further digging. And it is after all probably only one person.
Also there was a CMS dedicated to comics but it didn’t seem like anyone used it, not even the authour themselves who had their comic on Tapas.

If I had to guess, Kat A.I. is kind of told to be on the ixnay on the Ondamay around the Bandit.

Probably didn’t expect Danni to be passing on the information like that.

And here I was with the theorycrafting that this was going to take a while.

But then I guess I should’ve expected that The Danni had no idea what “Daemon” implies, and why the Kat A.I. was trying to avoid this explanation.

So D is the Daemon, one assumes. Jake recognizing the name presumably means he knows it as part of the crisis that ended the world, in whatever way, so this officially just crossed the line from “try to handle Kat with kid gloves” to “things are escalating way past where anything is reasonable on any level” and who knows how he’s going to react to that?

I am 98% sure Jake knows exactly what daemon means

I am 99% sure Jake is dreading finding out, and hoping against hope that it is not the case, said Daemon is called “*The* Daemon”.

But I’m fairly sure Tenka knows what D is (at least to some degree) and uses them themselves. Way back in the starter competition rounds when there was a crash cos “tenkas hacker protection program”or something found and stoped the hacker.

D giving commands on the other hand is a whole different beast and I think leads directly back to “mastermind” Kleya

Yeah, I’m aware TenKa knows who D is – the thing Jake would bank on is that it’s totally a *different* Daemon. Someone else’s.

Sure, that’d be a problem of its own, but a entirely different problem.

Everyone’s confused, even AI. It just can’t understand why Danni won’t take the thing to stay safe. I think that’s why it’s talking now cos it’s been focused on its primary objective of keep Danni safe so was just getting her there but now needs to convince her to pick them up, so talking time.

Bandits about to have a lightbulb moment and either be more confused or get a (possibly incorrect) idea of what’s going on
