Yeah any long-duration stasis skill is going to come with drawbacks. I was expecting damage immunity, but I suppose that might potentially be too powerful if used on allies (the game doesn’t seem to limit backstabbing, so any skill that targets players should be useable on anyone).

Steeeve on 01/27/2021 @ 12:17 pm

He said reflect. In game speak that usually means they don’t take the damage. Math is done to see how much damage they would take given their stats, armor and buffs then that amount is done to the attacker. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good thing he made sure to ask first.

Bandit: “What’s worse – Kat’s vengeance, or 4x gravity fall damage leading
*Into* Kat’s vengeance?”

That seems broken. Use this skill in your allies when they are gonna a receive some kind of wind up attack and see the enemies die by their own attack.

BloodPlum on 01/26/2021 @ 10:15 am

It’s probably a very high percentage Erbana skill, which again, is very hard to maintain in this game. It makes sense that the higher percentage you keep in one specialization, the better the skills.

Jah-Coby on 01/26/2021 @ 10:51 am

Except that if you did this to have enemy players kill themselves, you would lose your erbana percentage and therefore this high level skill. Seems like a very good “I don’t want to fight” ability that likely can be used very few times before needing some form of “recharge” time

Which to me seems a game balancing mechanic.

kit ramos on 01/26/2021 @ 4:56 pm

perhaps also if instead of putting it on your weaker allies to have the reflected damage kill the bad guys, but you used on the bad guys and then ran. then it wouldn’t affect the sat as your not directly or indirectly causing them harm. which is likely how such a โ€œI donโ€™t want to fightโ€ ability was meant to be used.
it could also be a support ability. to reduce the size of the active mob so the dps classes don’t get overrun while thining the party. I’ve noticed that in a most of rpg games I’ve played the healer or the “white mage” type classes usually have some spell or ability to temporally stop the bad guys as long as they don’t get attacked. usually attacking them will just end what ever it was that was stopping them early. but this could be a variant of it that can’t be interrupted but still has a balance to keep it from being used as a fighting tool.

kit ramos on 01/26/2021 @ 5:07 pm

not exactly, especially if it’s more of a pvp instead of a pve skill, and it possibly does require windup itself. we don’t know how much time kat spent casting the spell before it went off. it could be that to use it to block most wind up attacks you’d have to start at nearly the same time. making such use possible but very impractical. also if there was more people in the bad guys party then could be affected by the spell. it would make the rest of the party more vulnerable as there would be less targets for the bad guys to have to spread their firepower across. not to mention if they timing of when they unfreeze is known and it’s not an instant recast thing. then the bad guy party could start a windup spell at the right time complete just after the freeze spell wears off.

People seem to forget, the game was designed as a solo adventure, every man for them selves kind of deal. The idea of a permanent party is an entirely meta concept added for the sake of making the game more of a spectacle for viewers and doesn’t exist in the rules of the game.

Do their shoes have laces? Because I’d be so tempted to tie their shoelaces together and see what happens.

Alex on 01/28/2021 @ 7:01 am

Hehe, or draw moustaches and stuff on their faces. ๐Ÿ˜€

Deoxy on 01/29/2021 @ 10:19 am

Sadly, their feet are too far apart, leaving only the “mustache” option that Alex suggested as viable.

And even more sadly, there is probably not time for that (and probably not worth the risk, considering the damage reflection and the high gravity)

Lulu on 01/31/2021 @ 9:39 am

Given that pockets aren’t coded into the Game, I’m tempted to say shoelaces aren’t either.

Alex on 01/28/2021 @ 7:10 am

@mouse-over:
Yes, according to the previous vote incentive, a Bandit prisoner is exactly what Kleya has been dreaming about. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Btw. I can’t see it in your channel’s incentive list. Did you forget about it?
Also I hope your health is better now.
