Does the portal even still lead back to a known location? The portal on the other side was shrinking when Danni went through, and it was inserted by a spy (whom TENka decided to sentence to a slow death for her crime).

Dude and Bandit probably have reasons to avoid using that portal even if TENka hasn’t reset the destination or removed it or whatever.

Sandra and Jane, on the other hand, most likely want them off this undiscovered island for reasons of protecting their own secret arrangements with the underground rather than for anything to do with helping the group.

Technically TENka’s death sentence seems like it will be slightly faster than humanity’s.

Wow so I been reading this comic since 2011. I really liked it for the whit and the fact that was a refreshingly different take on pretty complex ideas related to video games and computing in general.

I just realized that you are number 1 on top webcomics. And I looked back in the history of the comment to realize that its been that way for a while.

I just wanted to wish you congradulations on your success and hope everything is going well. Here’s hoping for another 8 years. 😀

Think I started reading it around 2011 too, and finding it because it was on top 3.
And I have always loved that it has been a regular first place ever since “Goblins” removed the vote button

No one seems to mention that the reason Sandra wants them to go back is because she knows what that portal is, and what that island is, but doesn’t want THEM to know about it.

And that the REAL reason the Dude doesn’t want to go back, is because he’s a double agent who’s trying to expose the content of the island. Which is why Bandit is backing him up.

Danni is wonderfully clueless, though.
