Ah, that explains why Mina didn’t get very mad about K misusing her loan. K loaned Mina her programming skills before she was able to earn any money in the first place.

(Also, my first first. Sorry.)

Yep, I do believe that they had a rather good relationship where there was a fair amount of give and take going on. I think it’s also possible that Mina often though she was getting the better end of the bargain, but was made clear that it’s how Kat wanted it and it helped her out so she didn’t push the issue. So when it came time that the tables needed to be turned, and Mina could even tell that Kat really felt bad about taking the money as well. so Mina was like na you earned it.

Ah, the secret to why she doesn’t read her emails is finally revealed. I was hoping for a deep plot, but I’ll take the joke. 🙂

It was revealed before, but never explicitly said till now.

10min is up anyway.

Clearly the solution is to set up more appointments, maybe a regular pregame meeting.

Moar Meetings is always the solution.

Love Kleya’s expression in the 3rd panel, Aneeka!

There should be some visual cue that we’re entering and coming out of a flashback. It’s a little jarring until you figure out what just happened between panels.

Ha!
Imagine if flashbacks for in-game events used a horrid art style to illustrate a previous version of the LIFE; or maybe black and white or chromatic color scheme!

“Screw making ourselves collectively useful so we can all make money and all potentially become valuable to a city, making it more likely we’ll be rescued! She can figure out a way to make me sound better and I’ll be famous and the hero in my family!”

I like Mina less and less. I don’t think she’s evil, just… a bit too self-centered.

Yeah but remember that they are in a bad situation in real life. In fact almost everyone is. It seems like it being a popular singer is Mina’s lottery ticket daydream. How she normally distracts herself from the probability of dying out in an isolated wasteland, never seeing people who aren’t her family, except in LiFE.

So she wants to be someone who will not only be invited into one of the most secure havens left in the world, but also a popular spectacle who people will want to flock to, and of course she’ll help her family that way.

I imagine if she had programming as her power fantasy she’d be jumping on this, but that is a much more taboo and hardwork thing to be into.

Novalyyn on 05/21/2019 @ 11:24 am

And she also thought her sister getting stuck in public was too embarrassing for her, with the only worse option being to help by temporarily leaving her own avatar frozen.

GLJordan on 05/16/2019 @ 12:28 am

so Mina was the beginners guide to friendship and Dani was the more advanced guide.
honestly always thought Kleya ignored hem because she founded most more annoying than anything
