If she did something, she should know what she did? Comes with being an expert.

I think it’s more she was subconsciously looking for a way to adjust the scenario, and decided not to – but then Danni appeared to actually have succeeded, so she presumed she accidentally pushed *something*.

Like trying to reorganize a messy desk, not actually make a change in where stuff goes yet, but something falls off the table on a side you weren’t even pushing it.

Clearly, your fumbling around has a high probability of adjusting *something*, but you probably aren’t aware of what specifically moved to get that thing to fall.

I actually think she did adjust something, but D adjusted it back very quickly and between panel 3 and 4 D lets her know what it was. I also believe, in spite of what D says, that Jake actually did notice – but is ignoring it for the time being. He wants Keiko to restrict herself without his intervention, he has noted that she is trying to do so and is fully aware that she needs to practice this. Makes sense to just let her do so for now, so that neither of them needs to acknowledge that they know who the other is.

This is so nerve-wracking!!! I can’t decide if I want Kat to successfully not mess up, or if I was ALL THE SECRETS to come out right this second!

Turns out it’s a great practice session for practicing not-hacking, though!

I wonder if Bandit would even think to look for hacking directed at helping someone else? Did Keiko always include helping teammates in her habitual hacking to win, or is this motivation to see Someone Else win going to look completely new to him?

It’d be interesting to see his reaction either way (if he even notices her being tempted). After all, if he was basically her only friend, he might be the only other person who has ever had her (want to) hack a game in his favor before; or if she didn’t used to think that way, then even more reason to be shocked and a little jealous that she would do it for someone else now.

The entire challenge was probably designed to test her, to see if she can resist hacking. I’ll bet he is watching for it, might even have D in on it. What if he can “hear” her talking to D? O.o

SiliconWolf on 11/28/2018 @ 3:55 pm

What? Jake and D as secret allies!?! Hmm. Now that you pointed out the possibility, I could see that happening.

Starwaster on 11/27/2018 @ 12:23 pm

Good! If she stops paying attention there’s less chance of meddling 😛

dsagoa on 11/27/2018 @ 1:21 pm

Hey! You could post my picture of D since it hasn’t been posted anywhere on your site yet… Do you still have it? I sent it to you on 18/6/2015.

I love reading Keiko’s conversations with D; it always makes me wonder what its half of the conversation is.

Kat really needs to stop working about making things easier on Danni and instead give her some pro gamer tips on how to play. Danni is an amazing dancer, but until she can translate those skills into the game, she is just going to be stumbling as she tries to get things to work.

Drgnhawk on 11/28/2018 @ 2:38 pm

Does Kat know any pro gamer tips that don’t come down to “know the game and its code inside and out, be a genius, and if all else fails hack until it’s a success?”

GLJordan on 11/29/2018 @ 12:02 am

unlikely but I am half expecting Dani to land on Kat

Darkknowledge443 on 11/29/2018 @ 6:43 pm

I have a question, is there armor in the game? Like would it be possible for a person from reality fashion their avatar in the game to be clad in armor? I’d think that’d be a cool new addition.
