Kleya has lots of issues.

I'm going to be rather MIA for a while, being swamped with Kickstarter and real life stuff, so comments and the like will be slow in appearing.

Yeah, it’s a shame all those legit issues… I’d wanna hope that she can become the hero to the world or something akin to non-evil. But those are ideal dreams that likely reality will not let live…

That is an interesting twist. Let’s see if Kleya actually ends up answering the question “Why not?”. Of course the easiest answer would be “Because he’s a slimy jerk and he probably has a hidden agenda, because Tenka.” But if Danni really stops the training sessions, then Bandit will try Mina next. Kleya won’t be able to prevent her from writing a song about him and casually telling him each and every thing he wants to know.

On another note:
Some years ago I called that the Game has headhunters, i.e. parties who no longer have 5 members and therefore urgently need other people to join them, so they’re going to try to rip other parties apart, either by killing the rest or by bribing some members or whatever. Of course some of the slots must’ve been filled with tournaments, because afair a tournament with 5 winners was an exception caused by Bloody Mary, but maybe not all the groups get that kind of luxury.

And now there is this whole new ragtag group of people who mostly hate each other, acts super self-destructive and still takes down a party of experienced (low-HP) fighters. Plus there is a super-rare Erbana in there AND she knows how to actually play that alignment. Kleya probably already has some party invites in her E-Mail inbox.

So I am making the call that when they re-enter the game, their next problem will be invites rather than Deseliones. But obviously none of those other parties will conveniently have 3 members, so Kat and Danni can’t just leave together.

And I can’t wait until someone tells Kat that her way of playing Erbana is actually not nice at all. 🙂 If she had been in a party with decent people instead of Bandit and Jane, then she would’ve come across as something between a spoilsport and a bully. I bet that truly nice Erbana selflessly sacrifice some of their 100% during combat and then regain it later by gathering plants. And maybe that someone who tells Kat all this will also tell her that s/he learnt about that from the Deconstruct Me leader’s mom.

Except Kleya never reads her mail, so all of the invites are going to be completely ignored xD

Yes, I know. 🙂 So she’ll be in for a surprise in the Game even though it wasn’t supposed to be one for her.

Not sure how Erbana gain those last few percents, but it seems unlikely picking a few plants would do it. Especially when they can lose points by others in their party fighting.
Seems it’s a bit of a vicious and difficult thing to be an Erbana. Oh well, that’s my take on that point Alex brought up. 🙂

On to other bits, Kleya/Kat has too much of Black/White, Good/Bad, Us/Them attitude. It’s kind of understandable considering what she’s gone through up to now. It’s been years since she’s had any real interaction with humans, so she doesn’t understand yet that getting assets (in this case training) from someone else, is neither good/bad or choosing sides. It’s just making use of available resources. Heck, I bet even D understands this better than her.

Humans can get hung up on things like that, especially when they get defensive, and Kleya seems to have been completely on the defensive since the crash just to stay alive. And I mean that literally!

Maybe the amount of plants you need to gain percentage grows exponentially the higher you are, thus making Erbana a boring route, but staying at a bit over 15% (like that one person in snowman’s group) would be easy even when you’re doing a lot of fighting.

I can’t even begin to imagine what would happen if Kleya’s secret were to come out. There’s quite a house of cards that would come crashing down then, what with all those people having all kinds of different ambitions that include her.

Issues is putting it mildly. I’m rooting for ya Kleya

You say childish, I say low emotional intelligence and being extremely starved for any kind of affection.

Yeah but can you teach popularity Kleya? No, you really can’t. Well neither can Bandit really, but he knows a lot more about it, and can recommend what to do.

Reading this comic is so frustrating at times. The way you dribble out the backstory in little bits at a time. I just want to know what happened already. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s good writing. That people don’t really internally monologue their entire backstories at random points in their lives. So don’t think I’m not very appreciative of what you are doing here. It just gets super frustrating at times. ^_^

You know, this is the last comic I expected to give me a “My Baby!” Moment, specially since I don’t get My Baby Moments but…

SHE’S SO SCARED TO LOSE HER FRIEND THAT SHE’S WILLING TO JEOPARDIZE HER OWN PLANS. I wonder if she realizes that she’s probably the worst member of the team to teach anything about Showmanship….
