The question is, does Kleya realize who the bandit is, our does she really feel this degree of distaste for Jake?

She’s like 99% sure it’s Jake. She’s suspicious that he might know who she is, but has so far deemed it unlikely.

She’s deemed it unlikely because she feels Jake would do the right thing, which in the case of her would be reporting her to Tenka and general life downslide, and he hasn’t done so yet.

I think we’ve pretty much got the backstory. I’m not going to archive-dive, but I’m pretty sure Kat is referring to when Jake stood by her father in declaring her as the terrorist.

That terrible feeling when someone who betrayed you just keeps earning friendships.

And worse, she can’t even properly blame him for it because he was doing the “right thing” (perhaps based on a misunderstanding of events).

LOL that panel 3 in anything else I’d say “answer that wrongly and that will be the last answer you ever give.”
