Ooooh, now I can’t wait to see whether they will make an appearance soon. ^^
Their ribbon Special reminds me of Kat’s plant magic… which makes me wonder how Aza’s group ever made it past them to get into the Game.

We don’t know how long Azuna’s group has been in the game, or how long TENka has been trying to keep newcomers out… In fact I don’t think we even know that Azuna’s group isn’t sponsored by TENka? Last but not least, they might simply have been good enough to get past the bully-bots.

Yikes, Bandit, you really don’t want to ask about how they met! You are going to remind her that you were with The Angus Twins…

“Well she’s stubborn to a fault, but she beat your NPC mooks, and revealed they *are* NPCs, and therefore free to punch in L.I.F.E., so…I’ll take it.”

He also looks a bit like he’s (trying to look?) just a bit jealous! Of Danni?, or Kat?… Or maybe he’s trying to play “coy”. 🙂

How are they not friends?? Kat did so much for Danni. At this point Danni’s just being mean.

To be fair, “standoffish” has always been a primary personality trait for Danni. Apparently she was WORSE when she was famous. She blames her manager but I have doubts.

Also they’ve known each other for what a couple days now. I’m certain Danni is quite thankful for what Kat has done for her, but you just don’t become close friends with someone that fast.

Also she said that they weren’t best friends. She may well of Kat as a friend in general.

There’s also one other point – from what we can tell, Kat is Danni’s first major friend.

So she could just be self aware of the fact that while Kat is one of Danni’s best friends, but the biggest reason for that is that Kat is the only one of Danni’s friends. Kat is also friends with Mina however, and clearly knows her a bit longer.

The fact that Mina hadn’t shown up for an entire book is entirely beside the point.

Yeah, I’m getting that vibe too.

Yea, that’s certainly possible….and it makes sense…but still I think Danni owes Kat more credit at this point. I guess she’s going to need to learn how to be a friend.

@Arcanestomper they’ve known each other for several weeks, right? The trials probably took a couple days and then there must have been a break between those and the Game, maybe at least 2 weeks considering the tutorial, the shutdown, and Paddy’s avatar designs.

Something I didn’t notice at the time, but now that I recall – if you count Danni’s previous partners as friends, then technically, I guess Danni has had other friends – she’s just presuming they’re dead now.

Which could be another reason she doesn’t want to be considered best friends with someone who could die on the tip of a hat. Again, that is.

Only the last one literally died.

She probably does think of Kat as a friend, but she’s a bit paranoid about Bandit, and for good reasons, so I’d guess that she’s being wary of him, and downplaying things so he doesn’t assume he can use that or her as leverage.

I don’t think she is that calculating…

A post-apocalyptic environment is where those people with crummy people skills are really gonna ‘shine’.

I kinda get the impression that Danni wouldn’t help Bandit even if she could. I sincerely doubt she’s gotten over the kerfuffle involving the NPCs Bandit sicced on her and her partners.
