I feel like something close to that image of Kat zapping Bandit is one that has gone through her head quite a number of times (especially after he killed her), too.

“An ease?” Has language changed that much in the NAV world, or is Dr. What’s-His-Name not a native speaker? Is this a clue to something, or just a typo?

I have a very idiosyncratic method of speaking and find nothing wrong with that wording. It is not conventionally correct but the meaning is both clear and very human. I corrupt words all the d*** time simply because a lot of things sound better phrased differently, and no one ever calls *me* out on it.

I thought it was off of Greenland, but underwater.

“should be an ease” is perfectly understandable, but I would have used “should be a cinch” there.

“should be a breeze” would also be acceptable.

So, Dr. Grace doesn’t know that Kat already told Sandra that she doesn’t want to be imported anywhere? Or does he not care?

Oh man, in every update his plan becomes even more hilarious! 😀
Seeing that Kim talked about control and loyalty rather than friendship and trust, Dr. Grace’s approach to friendship seems to be the same.

In my opinion, Bandit could try telling Kat this: “I killed you because I wanted to prove to Tenka that you’re not the invincible girl who caused the Ending. There have been way too many real deaths already.”
Kat: “If I had been that monster, you’d have been dead by now.”
Bandit: “She was no monster, she was my childhood friend, and I’d give anything to know why she did it. She was such a wonderful girl.”
Kat: “…” *blush*
Kat: “Not my business. I’m logging out.”

… Except that I don’t think that Kleya would say that. I assume her reaction would a wide-eyed logout. I don’t think she’d say anything, she’d just vanish and Kleya Smith would cease to exist.

Besides that, I’m pretty sure there’s a high risk of Teanka finding out about that conversation.

They would only find out if D remained inactive, which he wouldn’t… But… that would kinda-ever-so-slightly incriminate her… so… yeah…

Well, Dr. Grace doesn’t suspect her to be her and Kim thinks that Bandit thinks she isn’t her, either, so I believe the worst that could happen would be a scolding if they found out about that conversation. He could justify it by saying: “Like it or not, I DO believe that have been too many innocent deaths already! And Kat dying in the Game was yet another proof that she isn’t her after all.”

I do wonder what would happen if he just told her exactly what he was trying to do.

I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t believe him and that she would vanish. Again.

He just has to not allude to the possibility of Kat being suspected.
Bandit: Tenka is searching for the girl who started the Ending. I’m trying to find out the truth.
Kat: Do you have any leads so far?
Bandit: Tenka has none. I might have one, but I think she’s too skittish to trust anyone right now.
Kat: She totally is the worst, and she should die if they find her!
Bandit: I’m not so sure. She didn’t seem like an evil person to me.
Kat: So what would you do if you found her, then?
Bandit: I’d hope she’d give me a chance to find out what really happened before she disappeared again, and if the Ending was an accident or she was set up or something like that, I’d try to help clear her.

Except: Again: That doesn’t sound like Kat.
Bandit: Tenka is searching for the girl who started the Ending. I’m trying to find out the truth.
Kat: You have a point?
or
Kat: Leave me alone.
or
Kat: *instant logout(because she knows TB is Jake)*

For that matter, it doesn’t sound like Jake either…
Jake: So… about killing you the other day? Turns out you’re not the person my bosses are looking for. Be glad to make it up to you though.
Kat: Go away.

Just remember the coercing (near blackmail) that Jake had to do just to get Kleya to admit to being Kat. She doesn’t like talking and really doesn’t like Tenka.

And now we see the truth: programmers are strategic resources.

This is going to be hilarious. Mister “The Bandit” is intentionally trying to get everyone around him to completely ignore Kleya while everyone around intentionally wants him to get close to her so that they can manipulate her. And that doesn’t even mention the fact that Kleya is never going to move to a city. Or let anyone manipulate her. Ever.

I can’t wait to see all of this unfold!

I’m particularly amused by the fact that Bandit wants her to come help them because he knows who she is, and everyone else wants her to come help them because they *don’t* know who she is.

Really, Kleya could quit the game and set up as an outsider programmer-for-hire and her hero status would go through the roof – if only she could do it without Tenka getting ahold of her code, identifying her, and blowing her cover.

Well, it appears that Bandit has successfully convinced Grace that Kat is not who she is.

It’ll never work – he can’t do “The Bandit” and do “someone Kleya would enjoy being around” at the same time!

This plan has all the beginnings of not ending well.

I love his expression! I’m sure he’d prefer any other task at the moment.

He’s really stuck between a rock and a hard place – he can’t reveal who Kat is without ruining his plan, and he literally knows what will happen if he tries to follow orders (which will also ruin his plan probably)

Excuse me, Aneeka, may I give just a small art tip?

I’ve noticed you often draw unfocused or even diverged eyes, even if a character is specifically looking at something. Not always, but still pretty frequently.

Basically, you’ll generally want to avoid putting the pupil + iris on the same spot for each eye. And you definitely want to avoid having one eye pointing more outward than the other, unless the character has an eye disorder or something.

If you think about it, if you had a room with two cameras by one wall, looking at an object in the middle of the room, they wouldn’t be parallel: they’d appear to point toward each-other somewhat, and the cameras and the object would make a triangle. The same principle applies to the eyes: when you look at something close to you, your eyes are actually drawn slightly inward, toward the spot between your eyes. Same thing if you’re looking at something more toward the side. If you’re looking to something on your right, your left eye will point farther to the right than the right eye will. From what I understand, the eyes are even designed not to point in the same direction.
