Panel 3: Huh? (I also imagine a screech noise in him stopping suddenly)

Finally I called something correctly! All this time I called Jane attacking Aza’s group at pretty much any given point in time (except for the one time when she actually did attack them -_- ), but in case of the “Dire Bunny” I was finally correct for once! 🙂

But the sound effect sounds like she is using the blunt edge of her sickle. If so, then I wonder if she actually does care for Kat’s rating? Note that she probably doesn’t know that Kat lost her Esone.

Most likely she does know Kat lost her esone she mentioned that in a previous page…. kind of.

Huh. So why didn’t she slice the Bunny?

If the blade’s on the inside edge, the best way to slice is by hooking it inside the crook or using the point only. A heavy and fast-moving thing could catch the blade and drag it out of her hands, but with a blunt impact the creature’s speed increases the effect of the blow with much less risk of disarming the wielder. If it’s now merely stunned, unconscious or otherwise disabled she can finish it at her leisure.

Okay, I didn’t think of that. That makes sense. Thanks for explaining it!

I’m not sure if Aneeka was planning like that, but it’s also probably easier to draw the animal being hit instead of sliced.

Surprise Erbana percentage drop, averted by death!

Actually, averted by not having an esone. No changes to scores until she gets another esone.

It technically is averted by death, because the reason she doesn’t have an Esone in the first place is because of her death.

I think the following line would sound best now:

Jane: He is my prey!

A wild Jane appeared!
Dude is affected by Intimidate!
Jane used Mach Punch!
It’s Super Effective!
Dire Bunny faints!

While Kat and Bandit were arguing over who’s going to save the Dude, Jane just did the job. Yay for Jane!

Plus, Jane has kids, which means she has/had a lover most likely, and also how old is she then?

Jane has kids irl.
Jane is an outsider.
The way Jane talks, I don’t expect the kids to be very old.
Being a gamer may require one to give up on at least a few real world obligations.
This implies that Jane may in fact have a husband.
A husband would complicate shipping somewhat…

Even so, I’d still try shipping Jane+Dude just to see the look on his face when the priest gets to the ‘I do’ part.

Wait, Bandit asked her NOT to save Dude…is this a setup for him to “save the day”?

My guess is it’s a set up (like Jane’s 1st attack on Danny) to boost team popularity and get them working together despite at least three instances of in party fighting [Jane’s attack on Danny, Kat’s attack on Bandit, Bandit’s attack on Kat/Danny/Dude.]

We know Bandit has some agreement/leverage on Jane and is likely in private chat with Jane. Not sure if this is the ‘knight sacrifice’ he was referring to, but my guess is a lot of this set up is staged by Bandit+, hence not wanting Kat to intervene/save Dude

Spoiler alert/Plot twist: It’s not actually Jane (because you don’t see her face) and that’s the reason for the Dude’s expression in the fourth panel

I thought that was just his default expression?

But boy, the fans must be loving this/ going crazy.

Also, I’ll laugh if Jane forgot her mask and Dude’s smitten

After all the running or cowering that Dude has done so far, it’s difficult to remember that he somehow made it through the game trials into the finals. There must be something to him that won him spot in the game, but we sure haven’t seen any of it so far.
