gee someone decided it was finally time to try and work WITH his team huh
amaze

(like I get that Jake was trying to help already but jfc Kat needs some emotional support so hard right now)

So Kat will have to Dark Souls PVP exploit her way through?

“You’ll have to lower your level to fight me, since I’m still level 1. And then I can beat you with overleveled equipment and plants.”

solaire on 11/03/2016 @ 2:38 pm

pshh let me know when she beat the game on a onebro run wiht only the skull lantern

Torrenal on 11/03/2016 @ 2:44 am

The old ‘you can’t be hurt and are therefore extra valued’ gambit? Reminds me of a tale I heard about an MMORPG where player ghosts tried to form their own community rather than revive. After all, ghosts couldn’t be killed.

solaire on 11/03/2016 @ 2:39 pm

really? what mmo was that?

Dellis on 11/03/2016 @ 7:25 pm

I heard it about Ultima Online!

Alexander The 1st on 11/03/2016 @ 7:54 pm

Technically, I think Kat and Danni can still be hurt – and die permanently – until they get another Esone – but their stats and alignment can’t change.

Gilly on 11/03/2016 @ 3:15 am

Awww that face (Kat’s). He actually feels bad? Although that expression ought to make anyone who caused it feel bad.

zophah on 11/03/2016 @ 3:34 am

Wait, this means that without an Esone, Kat can effectively stay at 100% Erbana indefinitely!

TokraZeno on 11/03/2016 @ 3:59 am

Guess that makes sense since a pacifist seems more likely to die in this game. But does that mean anyone can use plants? Or are there percentages for certain plants to be usable?

kgy121 on 11/03/2016 @ 4:55 am

Oh. So until Kat gets an Esone, she can murder everyone.

Nice loophole.

jin on 11/04/2016 @ 10:26 pm

everything burns

Ooorah on 11/03/2016 @ 5:29 am

Finally, FINALLY he says something nice. Dang, but it’s taken him long enough.

Justin on 11/03/2016 @ 7:46 am

Wait, is that a shred of humanity coming out? So Jake ISN’T going to be a complete jerk all the time… interesting.

B-Dom on 11/03/2016 @ 8:02 am

Whoa, what an exploit; get 100% in Erbana, then die after you join the game equals your score is still close to, if not, 100, w/o the restriction on the team, and you’re still useful.

TokraZeno on 11/03/2016 @ 6:25 pm

The downside of course is that you’d have to have zero esones.

It seemed to me that it was established earlier that setting esones enables specials which means Kat is restricted to plant activated specials only and no bottomless bag to carry them all in so it’s a pretty heavy downside.

When you add in the fact that you need to risk permadeath to do it, it’s not much of an exploit.

B-Dom on 11/04/2016 @ 6:56 am

True, but that would depend on the group you’re in — Example, another party member has the Bottomless bag special.

Also, we don’t know how Erbana plant specials work, but it could mean heals as long as you have the plants required, so there may not be any fear of permadeath — Wonder if percentile/level increases the healing rate

Kaliope on 11/03/2016 @ 8:36 am

So in other words, she has the perfect excuse to kill Bandit, without losing anything. Yay for loopholes!!

EcchiKitty on 11/03/2016 @ 8:40 am

Sounds like a loophole, but I’m guessing there’s more to it. As in you can use plants, but only in a very limited way.

Ev on 11/03/2016 @ 10:28 am

You can still be heroic, Kat! You just won’t get in-game credit for it… :’D

Nyeh…but who cares about exp? It’s the viewer ratings that really count, right?

dralou on 11/03/2016 @ 7:15 pm

Indeed. I wonder if a “no-esone” run of the Game would interest a lot of people… “Iron man” Let’s Plays/Streams are not that common IRL, I would guess it’s the same in-story world.

Romanticist on 11/03/2016 @ 11:38 am

Oh my goodness that look of hope in Kat’s eyes! Bandit is finally being smart about how he should help her instead of trying to piss her off. My poor heartstrings. <3

Matt on 11/03/2016 @ 12:39 pm

Man, Kat is way too hard on herself. I know that feeling so well.

ktrimbach on 11/03/2016 @ 2:51 pm

So it looks like Jake’s Bandit persona’s know-it-all gloating really stepped in it. Good thing that Jake was able to shed some hope into the situation.

jin on 11/04/2016 @ 10:28 pm

*stuffs fistfuls of grass down bandits throat*
choke on my vengeance
*whispers*
how does it taste?
