I just have to say, I'm SO excited to get to this part of the story, at long last. It's going to be such a fun ride!

Ya know, i half expected her to whip out some bada** half-dragon ninja thing or something that would be unbelieveably awesome and awe the enemy…

Not the first time in the last two days an artist has hit me in the face with a curveball. Not even the first for a DeathMatch.

But it IS the first where the curveball is something the main character did (the other was that the main character had been stating repeatedly he wouldn’t fight an innocent in a gladiatorial arena, but it turns out his opponent is someone he had met before who was guilty of hundreds of counts of murder)

Ha ha! And here I was, thinking I did a good job in foreshadowing her awful avatar. I’m glad it surprised you though!

Looking back, there are tons of hints, ranging from the obvious (“who cares if it’s not perfect?”) to the not so obvious (the pink circle in the crowd last page)

I, for one, was totally expecting the avatar. Already we’ve seen enough of Kleya’s character for it to be clear that she has asort of resigned stubborness to her. She doesn’t give in easily but she persists in more subtle ways. Also I think that in a world like this, with the players actually taking on the forms of the avatars, using one that you made yourself feels much more comfortable than using one that someone else made. It’s your baby. It don’t matter whether or not it’s up to the standards of others

Ah, so my foreshadowing did work after all. Yay!

Alright, let’s get some a**** kicked! Danni seems ridiculously gutsy, so let’s see if she can’t follow through, though even she knows that Kleya will obviously be the key player here.

Oh, Danni can definitely follow through in a fight. It’s the people watching and voting that are harder to win over…
