It does look like a reaction to bandit talking to her. Almost like she’s withdrawing to her safe space, ready to hack. 🙂

If D ISN’T happy it’s time to run for the hills and abandon all technology learn the use of stone tools pray that the great Dragon God of Destruction D does not extend his wrath upon you. xD
Maybe build an altar or two for him, and sing praises to Mastermind, that might appease D.

You should create characters that are more understanding than these two. 🙂 Make a Mina filler and she’ll be ecstatic due to getting some spot light again.

But yeah I agree with Ethan that it totally looks like Kat’s reaction to Bandit and not like a random filler doodle. The splash page is actually kind of appropriate.

Agreed, if you’d told us this was a splash page, we would have bought it.

That said, take what time you need, get your rest. It’s important.

Now that you have a colorist (yea!) I’m not sure if you are still studying ‘how to color’. But I thought this VERY short picture guide is remarkably helpful.
