She’s been out of it, hasn’t she?

Possibly, since, I believe, it’s been only couple months, in comic time, since this topic occurred for the cast.

Page 242~252; looks like I remembered wrong, and Danni wasn’t there yet.

PS. Btw, looks like the chapter achieves is kinda out of order, with the Arcs being jumbled. Ex. University Intro [182~188] is after Game/Tutorial Prep [210~257]

I’m more talking about how high-profile the destruction of Shanghai was. It would be like asking, “You were supposed to be in the Twin Towers? What does that have to do with anything?”

Yeah Danni was permanently online even before the ending, so she has some odd gaps in her knowledge. Huge news stories just completely passed her by. The main things she knows about the Ending is what affected her city and her life support.

Also hmm, in a sense I suppose Danni is still in ‘Shanghai’, even if she never heard what happened there for other people.

Nah, IIRC it was already referenced, back when they all met w/ Paddy, as to why being in Shanghai would cause this reaction for him — When he appeared as a droid/mecha.

So her asking this now is kinda *shrugs*

In the scene you mentioned, Kat and Danni hadn’t loaded into the staging server yet at the point the topic was discussed. When they did load in, Dude was immediately distracted by Danni’s dancing and Sandra/Paddy seemed more than happy to not bring the topic back up at that point.

Hurry for a new page and not breaking down on the posting.

Well done, lass! You met your last goal and set the next one. Keep setting them however you’re comfortable with. If you need to shuffle for another year or two before you switch to moving forward by stepping, shuffle away! Just keep an eye out for things hoping to trip you up. You can handle them.

Bandit assumes everyone is as well-informed as him, one of the most well-informed people in the world.

Bandit doesn’t know the limits of other people’s knowledge. In this case, he would be assuming that Danni didn’t know Dude was in Shanghai, but would assume that Danni would know what happened in Shanghai, just like the other people who witnessed Dude’s first panic attack.

So happy to see that the new schedule is working out and that things are getting a little easier.

Will be interested to see if her attitude towards dude changes after learning what he lives through.

I remember finding this comic years ago, it was one of the first webcomics I ever read. Being an adult now and coming back to it is so nostalgic. Please take care of yourself first and foremost, but I’m also glad you are feeling up to this comic again.

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe it’s been so long! I haven’t read this comic and ages, and I’m so glad I found it again on page 2 of topwebcomics today. I really hope that you’re doing well. This comic has such an amazing story concept and it’s been so amazing seeing your art style grow over the years. I truly hope you know that I’m rooting for you, in comic-world and in real life. I went to a small anime con today. (Animedford) Got a couple hours there before I had to get out. (Ran out of anxiety pills in my travel bottle and didn’t know it till I needed them.)

Never gone fetal from it, but I have bounced off/away from an open door like it had a freaking forcefield, so I do have a small kind of an idea of what Dude is going through, but he seems a lot worse when it hits.

(Just because the issues are invisible to others, it can feel like something physically real to the sufferer, and you can’t just ignore it because it’s your own mind/brain that’s sabotaging you, and that’s something you can’t turn off or go around.)

Ok, too much babbling over not fun stuff.
Can’t wait till October!
