For those not keeping score Kleya got kicked -29, Niced for a slap -6, tripped -9 and self tripped -28. Total -72 HP.

Bandit got slapped -6, Niced for tripping -9 and Niced for not-tripping -28*2. Total is -43 HP & -28 Emotion or -71 Total.

I’m pretty sure that he’s under his HP total at this point and with less then 30 seconds to go (I think). He’s still winning.

But we’ve seen that a -28 to a single stat can be fatal – remember she commented that 20 was HIGH. (Sight “What is he going to do, X-Ray me?”)

Seems to me that 100+ hit points per person seems to be the norm, Mary. Stats like vision and strength seem to be a different category then hit points. It likely works as some sort of multiple of whatever stat hit points is based off of. Likely stamina.

The thing with your calculation is that the second -28 isn’t to hit points, it’s to a different stat. Look at other people’s reactions as they lost “But, I still have HP left…!” etc, being unable to move…

Well, it’s possible that the damage taken to the emotional stat alone could cause him to lose but remember that attacking emotion stats is a tactic that is pretty much unheard of so I’d imagine that it’s not easy to go after directly. Hopefully, we will learn more about the role Emotion stats play in this game.. Kinda reminds me of MegaTokyo’s virtual world. That whole story arc was based on winning through emotion stats too.

True as that may be, it’s also been stated that hp is halved in trials AND Kleya gets an HP boost from Nice. Bandit may be in real trouble here (even more so from DR. Grace)

That -28 emotion hit will likely win it alone. I’d be shocked if it didn’t when 20 is considered high. And we’ve already seen effecting stats can bring in a win just as effectively as reducing HP to 0.

Sorry, Hero Blob 017 (aka Toma). But when you look back, Katv8 only got -23 via bandit’s kick, not 29. so when you add it up again, it makes -66 for katv8 and -71 for the bandit

A hero, like myself, NEVER makes mistakes! (but isn’t that wrong number a…) NO! SHUT UP! Ummmm, clearly I was testing you other non-heroes to see if you would blindly follow what I wrote or if you would rise up to the hero challenge I offered and checked the numbers out for yourselves and you, NinjaGazelle, passed the test with flying colors. Congrats! Despite this correction though, I still don’t think she’s knocked him out. We’ll see though.

So if Be Nice misses the first hit, does it hit twice with the other arm?

No, it’s more likely that no one knows the answer except me. And the answer would be no, it didn’t hit twice due to missing the first hit. The story will get to explaining why later 🙂

I wonder: is the effect “MISS” just a sound effect or is it an in game icon that everyone can see (like in Diablo 3).

Whatever. I love his expression in the second to last panel. I just want him to start singing “I’m the best, around” before getting smacked.

And now we will find out if 28 to what ever stat it targets is enough 🙂 *Sitting on the edge of my seat until Friday*

Are the specials avoidable in general with good evasion skills, or is Bandit able to dodge one only because the second won’t miss anyway?

Ah, so it can be dodged. I was wondering just how fast those hammer strikes were. Now, is the second effect enough to K.O. him?

Personally, seeing how she had her arms up everytime she used her skill, seems a little obvious that that was what triggered the extra effect..

Well, saying something is obvious is always easy after you’ve seen what it is…:)

I’m not sure but but i think i remember something about HP being halved, and in that case i believe she is at -4 or -5. if not, whuu she just won ^^

oh the remaining HP was based what hero blob said, but thx to NinjaGazelle i am now sure she won with 1,5 hp left ;p

Just started reading page 1 today. Interesting story. Characters all draw you in. I want to know about Kleya’s mom and why she thinks she’s a villain. There is Danni and her sister as well as Mina. Kind of wish I was near the end of the book already. So much to know and of course one page at a time.
